Wilfried Zaha told the On The Judy Podcast that he ‘asked to leave’ when sharing a room with Arsenal’s Nicolas Pepe because of his snoring.
The Crystal Palace hitman hilariously claimed that Arsenal’s record signing sounded like a ‘motorbike’ during their early days as an Ivory Coast international.
Ironically enough, when Unai Emery was in charge at Arsenal, Zaha was the player they wanted to bring to the club before they pushed for Pepe’s signature instead, as the Palace player told Jamie Carragher on his podcast.
Nonetheless, this is what the nine-goal wing-wizard had to say about his national teammate.
“Bro, oh my days, Nicolas Pepe,” said Zaha. “I asked to leave the room. I went and asked to leave the room because he sounded like a motorbike.
“It was mad. Bro, it was crazy. It was crazy. I was like ‘no, I cannot’. These were the first times that I went and I was with, Nico.
“They let me move and share rooms with Kalou. And he was like ‘bro, I know. I know. I moved myself’.”

Whilst Pepe’s form has picked up in recent weeks, there will be a selection of Arsenal supporters hoping they pushed for the trickster instead of Pepe when they brought him to the club.
Now, Arsenal have the likes of Pepe, Willian and Aubameyang flying down their wings, but unfortunately for them, Zaha is outperforming them this season.
The Palace academy product has nine Premier League goals to his name and he will be hoping to reach that magic 20 by the time the final ball of the campaign is kicked.
