Sir Kenny Dalglish has written in The Sunday Post that Ange Postecoglou will not leave Celtic for Leeds United now, pointing out that the Australian was linked with Everton as well before Sean Dyche went to Goodison Park.
Celtic manager Postecoglou has been linked with the managerial role at Leeds.
The Daily Star reported last week that the 57-year-old Australian is on the shortlist of managers that Leeds are looking at.
The Premier League club are on the hunt for a new manager following the dismissal of Jesse Marsch.
Marsch was sacked as the Leeds manager last week following a run of poor results.
Leeds are in grave danger of getting relegated from the Premier League at the end of the season.
Celtic legend Dalglish believes that Postecoglou will not leave the Hoops for Leeds in the middle of the season.
The pundit has noted that the 57-year-old was linked with Everton, Southampton and Wolverhampton Wanderer as well in recent weeks, but he stayed at Celtic.
The Sun’s Alan Nixon reported in November 2022 that the Everton hierarchy were looking at Postecoglou before they eventually appointed Sean Dyche after sacking Frank Lampard.

Leeds told Ange Postecoglou will not leave Celtic
Dalglish wrote: “It seems like Ange is now linked with every job that becomes available in the English Premier League.
“A few weeks ago it was Everton. Before that it was Southampton. And I think he was also tipped for the Wolves job a few months ago.
“In some ways, it’s a compliment that the excellent work he is doing at Celtic is getting noticed. But in other ways, it must be an absolute nuisance for him and his football club. It’s an intrusion, a pain.
“You do not want to be pestered every time a job in the English top flight comes up. However, I wouldn’t be in a panic about it if I was part of the Celtic hierarchy, or a supporter.
“I can’t see him leaving in mid-season. Ange has an almighty job on his hands, and he is very close to retaining the Premiership title.
“He also has a League Cup Final at Hampden against Rangers in a couple of weeks. I have no doubt that will be his focus, not any vacancy in England.”
The pundit added: “Leeds United may well have him in their sights, but I think they will be left disappointed if they hope to have him in place any time soon.”
