Leeds United striker Patrick Bamford has commented on Marcelo Bielsa’s method.

Leeds United striker Patrick Bamford has confirmed to The Mirror that Marcelo Bielsa’s training methods were a surprise to the players, but adjusting has been worthwhile.
The Whites are back in action this afternoon as they take on Aston Villa, and can go back above Norwich City into top spot with a win, after the Canaries beat Blackburn Rovers on Saturday.
Having beaten Bolton Wanderers 1-0 last weekend, Leeds will be hoping to make it two away wins in a row, and the hero from last week’s game may play an even greater role today.
Bamford came off the bench after a lengthy injury lay-off to score the winning goal at Bolton, latching onto Pablo Hernandez’s pass to fire Leeds in front and secure three points.
Bamford, 25, had missed three months with a knee injury, and will now be looking to make up for lost time having signed from Middlesbrough in a big-money deal over the summer.

Bamford could start in the Leeds attack today, and he has now been discussing Bielsa’s methods, telling the Mirror that players were surprised by the Argentinian’s decision to have three sessions a day in pre-season.
Bamford did though suggest that it was all worthwhile in the end, and he’s enjoying life at Elland Road so much that he’s driven himself to get back and play a part.
“It took us all by surprise at the time and it took a while to adjust but it has proved worthwhile,” said Bamford. “I’m enjoying being part of what is happening here. We’ve also had a lot of injuries during the season including myself but that hasn’t stopped our progress. There is a close bond and we’ve got a fabulous medical department. They are the reason I’m back early,” he added.
