Darren Bent has questioned on talkSPORT whether Crystal Palace would accept ‘£50 million’ for reported Tottenham and Everton target, Wilfried Zaha.

The former striker pointed out how it seems as though ‘every summer’ the same discussions take place about Zaha and his need to go to the ‘next level’.

Goal have previously reported Tottenham and Everton’s interest in the speedster, who has a new manager at the help at Selhurst Park in Patrick Vieria.

Bent seemed to suggest that £50 million would be enough for Vieira to invest into Palace’s squad that is very light, in terms of numbers, at this moment in time.

“With Zaha, it seems as though we have the same discussion every summer that he wants to leave and go to the next level,” said Bent.

“But realistically, how much would they get for him? If they get £50 million then is that enough to re-invest into Crystal Palace and take them to where they want to go.”

The problem facing Zaha is which club is willing to put serious dough down on the table for his talents?

Both Spurs and Everton, especially the latter, could do with his sharp movement, tricky style and aggressive nature in the final third.

Those wide areas should be a concern for Rafa Benitez if he doesn’t know it already and signing Zaha would no doubt bring fans onside.

Everton want to get into Europe and Zaha has proven during these past few years that he is one of the best players outside of those European places.

So, it’s perhaps time to connect the two and surge forward, although, it would be understandable if an inflated price tag and his age would be off-putting.
