Gary Neville has told his self-titled podcast that he thinks Liverpool still will make the top four in the Premier League.
Neville has enjoyed winding Liverpool supporters up on social media after they lost the Merseyside derby.
The Reds are now sat down in sixth place in the Premier League table, with their Champions League credentials being called into question.
But Neville feels that Liverpool will respond to the pressure they are now under and start climbing back up the league soon.
“It looks to me like they need a new idea to give them a bit of a spark otherwise it could be a really depressing season for them, where they don’t qualify for the Champions League,” he said.
“I still think they will – and they could win the Champions League, those players can get up for it and they’ve proven they can do it before, but it’s a little bit more of a worry than it was two or three weeks ago.”
If Liverpool are to get back into the top four then their results until the end of the season will have to improve.

They now have the likes of Everton and Aston Villa directly behind them, and both teams have games in hand over them.
Jurgen Klopp’s side have now lost their last four games running, with their next game coming on Sunday, when they are set to take on struggling Sheffield United.
