Tottenham Hotspur sold the midfielder to Norwich City but he is not exactly pulling up trees at Carrow Road.

When Tottenham Hotspur opted to sell Alex Pritchard to Norwich City last summer there were plenty of Spurs fans disappointed that the midfielder was never given a chance to prove his worth at White Hart Lane.
After all, the then-23-year-old had shown at former loan club Brentford that he could both score and create on a regular basis, and after returning to Tottenham from that particular spell it looked as if Pritchard would finally get a chance to impress closer to home.
Alas it was not to be, with injury playing its part, and he headed to Carrow Road in the hope of firing another Championship side into the play-offs just as he had with Brentford.
That may still happen, but on recent evidence Tottenham did not make the costly mistake Pritchard’s fans had suggested.
So far this season he has scored four goals and provided six assists in 26 appearances for the Canaries – an underwhelming return for a player once tipped to be the next big thing at Tottenham.
It seems on this occasion Mauricio Pochettino and his chairman Daniel Levy got it right, with some far better prospects coming through the ranks at Tottenham, putting Pritchard’s contribution at Norwich in the shade.
