Jose Enrique has reacted to Sky Sports’ footage of Luis Diaz using crutches before Liverpool’s game last night.

Jurgen Klopp’s side somehow beat Leicester City 2-1 at Anfield, with Wout Faes scoring two own goals for the Reds.

Prior to kickoff, Sky Sports filmed Diaz – a £49 million signing last January [Sky] – walking into the stadium on crutches.

The former Porto attacker hasn’t kicked a ball for Liverpool since the defeat to Arsenal in October.

During their warm weather camp in Dubai earlier this month, the club announced that Diaz – who was fit at the time – had suffered a major setback and that the Colombia international would now be sidelined until March.

And Enrique has reacted to the footage on Instagram last night, uploading an IG story and writing: “Long way still for what it looks like….”

Yep, unfortunately Diaz is nowhere near to being fit for Klopp.

The good news, however, is that now they have Cody Gakpo.

Earlier this week, Liverpool confirmed the £37 million signing of the Netherlands international and with Gakpo, like Diaz, being a left-sided attacker, that should give Klopp’s side the necessary cover over the coming months.
