Tanguy Ndombele has spoken to Tottenham’s official YouTube channel about his struggles last season and his resurgence this campaign.

The French midfielder arrived as the club’s record signing last term, but he didn’t make the impact everyone had hoped.

Ndombele started just 12 league games last season and over the summer he was even linked with a move away from north London.

However, he’s come back as a different man this season. Fans commented he was looking sharper before the campaign kicked off.

Since the start of the season he’s gone from strength to strength, appearing in every league match so far.

Ndombele went on record to talk about what has been different this season.

“I am working a bit differently now. I find myself working harder in training and in the matches but, above all, I think I’ve just settled in better,” the 23-year-old said.

“It’s true that last season was difficult for me – to change championships like that, it isn’t easy.

“But now, I feel like I’m really settling in better and I really hope I’m on the right track for the future.”

Ndombele is the perfect example of a player needing to adjust to the Premier League.

The midfielder has been very open and honest about his struggles last season but it’s clear he feels more comfortable this time around, and Spurs are benefitting greatly.

He’s finally getting into his stride in the Premier League and in recent weeks he’s started to look like a player worth £63m.

Whether or not that form can continue remains to be seen. But Ndombele seems to be settling in and working harder. If he continues down that path, he should be able to fulfil his potential at Tottenham.
