Leeds United’s Ronaldo Vieira has admitted he played with injury last season.
Vieira was handed the task of playing regularly in Leeds’ first-team at the age of 18, and he stood out as one of the Whites’ top performers last term.
While most of his peers are still playing academy-level football, Vieira has become a prominent member of Leeds’ senior squad.
And the fact that the youngster has managed to do that while still not being fully fit, makes it scary to think just how brilliant he could become.
Vieira has actually struggled for game-time at Leeds this season, with Thomas Christiansen regularly overlooking the central midfielder.
However, the prospect gave everyone at Leeds a reminder of his talents in his side’s last match against Bristol City.
Vieira was in superb form on his first league start of the campaign, as Leeds picked up a 3-0 victory over Bristol City.
And if Vieira has now put his fitness problems behind him, he could well become the most talented player to come out of Leeds’ academy for a considerable amount of time.
