Shakhtar Donetsk superstar Mykhaylo Mudryk has admitted that he can picture himself one day playing in the Premier League amid reports that Arsenal are interested in signing the 21-year-old attacker.

In an interview with the Times, the UEFA Champions League superstar revealed that he believes he can one day play in England, with Mudryk labelling the Premier League as the best division in the world and one that he could star in if he can improve his overall game.

The Shakhtar winger has been one of the breakout players in Europe this season with Mudryk stealing the show in Europe against the likes of RB Leipzig and Celtic, and recent reports have suggested that Arsenal are interested in signing the Ukrainian international in January.

With a reported price tag of £44m and interest from as many as 15 clubs, Arsenal face quite the uphill battle to sign Mudryk in 2023, with the Gunners linked with the winger in the summer before his form took off this season in the Champions League.

Indeed, Mudryk could become Mikel Arteta and Edu Gaspar’s latest big-money signing for Arsenal, and according to the player himself, the Premier League is an alluring prospect for his future aspirations, a line that could be quite encouraging for the north London giants.

Mudryk said when asked about if he was open to moving to England: “Yes, yes, it is possible. The Premier League is the best league in the world and everyone wants to play in this league. I appreciate it (the recognition), but I must improve a lot of moments because I think I can play better.”

Mudryk’s form and performances this season have been quite spectacular, to say the least, and the Ukrainian international must now be well on Arsenal’s radar as we slowly approach the January transfer window, with a winger something the Gunners’ could do with bringing in this winter.

Although interest is ramping up across this continent for Mudryk, Arsenal’s growing quality could make the north London side a prime candidate to land the Shakhtar youngster, who could well become the most hotly-chased player come the January transfer window.
