Celtic have been sent a warning by Chris Sutton as Premier League sides circle around Ange Postecoglou.
What’s the story?
Well, the 57-year-old was said to be admired by Everton as they hunted for a Frank Lampard replacement, according to Alan Nixon.
The Celtic tactician was also being eyed by Brighton after Graham Potter left for Chelsea, as detailed by the Independent.
Now, Postecoglou – who has guided his Celtic side nine points clear at the top of the Scottish Premiership – is a target for Leeds after Jesse Marsch was sacked, according to Sky Sports.
Sutton has now commented on links between the Celtic fan favourite and Leeds, sending the Bhoys a warning despite feeling that they are safe from losing their main man for now.
Writing for the Daily Record, the 49-year-old stated: “Ange Postecoglou is going to leave Celtic at some point. That’s obvious.
“I just don’t feel it’ll be happening that soon. Nonetheless, Celtic CEO Michael Nicholson and the hierarchy need to start succession planning right now and keeping tabs on potential new managers because the interest is growing in their Aussie and it is not going away.”

Now, Sutton’s comments shouldn’t be taken badly by Celtic fans – he is simply giving a dose of footballing reality.
There have been exceptional circumstances where one manager spends years at a football club, such as Jock Stein at Celtic Park from 1965 to 1978, Sir Alex Ferguson’s 26 years at Manchester United and Arsene Wenger’s 22 years at Arsenal.
However, there isn’t much loyalty in football nowadays, and it would be naive to get too attached to any manager or player in the modern game – just look at what happened with Brendan Rodgers.
In that instance, Celtic were arguably unprepared for the Northern Irishman’s exit and it allowed Rangers to make up some ground, so Sutton is spot on – plans for life after Postecoglou need to be made now as interest grows.
