The Telegraph reported last week that Leeds are interested in signing Koopmeiners from AZ Alkmaar in the summer transfer window, as covered by HITC Sport here.
The report claimed that AZ want more than £10 million in transfer fee for the 22-year-old, who can play as a midfielder or as a central defender.
De Telegraaf has reported that Fulham, who, like Leeds, won promotion from Championship to the Premier League at the end of last season, are also interested in the youngster.
Koopmeiners has said that he is delighted to be on the radar of clubs such as Leeds and Fulham, while his agent Karel Jansen has said that there is interest in his client from England.
Koopmeiners told De Telegraaf regarding interest from England, as translated by Football Oranje: “Of course it is nice, because I would like to make that step. It would be more annoying if a foreign club never comes for me.
“But there has to be a lot right. If I already have a good feeling about a club, the clubs should also need to agree a deal.”
Jansen told De Telegraaf, as translated by Football Oranje: “The interest in Teun from England is abundantly clear.”
Stats
Koopmeiners has scored one goal in two league games for AZ so far this season, while during the 2019-20 campaign, he scored 11 goals and provided two assists in 25 league matches and scored three goals and provided one assist in eight Europa League fixtures, according to WhoScored.

Meanwhile, former Leeds striker Noel Whelan has praised Robin Koch for his performance at the weekend.
Whelan, who now works as a pundit for BBC Radio Leeds, was impressed with how Koch defended in the Whites’ 1-0 win against Sheffield United in the Premier League on Sunday.
The former Leeds striker said on BBC Radio Leeds (2:04pm, September 27, 2020): “He was brilliant today. He showed everything that we wanted when we brought him in.
“That aggression, dominating the centre-forward, being in the right place at the right time, comfortable on the ball, decision-making spot on.”
