The Times reported in August that Leeds are interested in signing Kent from Rangers in the summer transfer window.
The promoted Premier League club made a bid of £10 million for the former Liverpool winger, but Rangers turned it down, according to the report.
Rangers manager Steven Gerrard himself said that Leeds had made a bid for Kent, as quoted on talkSPORT.
Kent has made it clear that he is happy at Rangers, and he has said that it is nice that Leeds are keeping tabs on him.
The winger told The Glasgow Evening Times: “I am in a really good position at the moment, I am enjoying my football and I am playing with a smile on my face, which is important.
“I feel that gets the best out of a player when he is comfortable and in a happy place. In terms of the interest from elsewhere, it is always nice to get interest from a Premier League club but right now I am in a good position and I am happy where I am.
“I am happy. I get to, well not under the current situations, play in front of 50,000 diehard supporters every week, play Europa League football and play at a good, competitive level. Right now there is no reason for me to be elsewhere.”

Leeds United move this summer unlikely?
Leeds are a massive club and will play in the Premier League this season for the first time since 2004, but Kent’s aforementioned comments suggest that he does not plan to leave Rangers this summer.
The winger is an important player for Rangers, and the 23-year-old will play a big role in the Gers’ quest to win the Scottish Premiership title this season.
