Speaking on The Done Deal Show, Ben Jacobs has been discussing Arsenal and the internal view of the summer transfer window at the Emirates.

The Gunners are flying high in the Premier League at the moment, but there’s still a feeling that there is more to come in terms of transfers.

Indeed, the north London outfit have been strongly linked to the likes of Pedro Neto and Youri Tielemans as of late, so it seems as though there could be at least one more incoming at the Emirates before the end of the transfer window.

However, Jacobs has heard that Arsenal are incredibly happy with the business they’ve done so far, and he says that even if they don’t make any further additions, they’ll be content with how the summer has gone.

What’s been said?

Jacobs spoke about how happy Arsenal are with their business.

“Arsenal are clearly looking, it’s not correct to say that they don’t want to sign anybody, but it is accurate to say that if they don’t sign anybody else they would be content because of who they’ve already brought in. Jesus has made a huge difference, Zinchenko is an excellent signing in my opinion,” Jacobs said.

Stronger

The transfer window is all about making your team stronger than it was last season, and it’s fair to say that Arsenal have done that.

The Gunners haven’t gone out and signed an obscene number of players in the way a team like Nottingham Forest have, nor have they spent a huge amount a la Chelsea, but they’ve made shrewd additions in areas that have needed addressing.

Oleksandr Zinchenko has provided a lot of depth, Fabio Vieira is a star of the future, while Gabriel Jesus is a clear upgrade on Alexandre Lacazette.

Could Arsenal do with signing one or two more? Of course they could, but regardless of what happens in the next week, this window has to be considered a success for the Gunners.
