Arsenal fans have taken to Twitter to react after The Athletic‘s David Ornstein provided an update on Crystal Palace and Eddie Nketiah.
What’s the story?
Well, Patrick Vieira’s side were said to be confident of signing Nketiah from the Gunners, according to Sunday World.
The Athletic revealed Crystal Palace were willing to pay £10m, although Arsenal wanted £20m for the Hale End Academy graduate.
Now, the south Londoners look to have given up their pursuit of the 22-year-old, with Celtic’s Odsonne Edouard in their sights.
As Fabrizio Romano tweeted last night, Crystal Palace have now agreed a deal worth around £15.7m for the 23-year-old.
Personal terms have also been sorted out, with Edouard due to have a medical in south London today.
Well done Crystal Palace, but what are Arsenal doing?

Dougie Freedman deserves credit for not being held to ransom by Arsenal, and swiftly moving onto another target.
In Edu and Arsenal’s case however, what are the north Londoners doing?
Nketiah’s contract expires next summer, and he doesn’t seem keen to sign a new deal.
The Athletic believe he rejected a contract offer from Arsenal in June.
In that respect, it’s now very likely that Nketiah leaves the Emirates Stadium for nothing.

With the striker able to negotiate a pre-contract move with other clubs in January, Arsenal could effectively be giving up £10m for nothing.
Unless Mikel Arteta can somehow convince Nketiah to sign a new deal, Arsenal have just sacrificed £10m in preference of £0.
With plenty more deadwood still at Arsenal, Edu really has done a terrible job at selling those out-of-favour in Arteta’s squad.
Let’s see what the Arsenal fans on Twitter have been saying about Crystal Palace moving on from Nketiah to Edouard…
