Manchester United defender Luke Shaw was left shocked that Liverpool were allowed so much space even in the first minutes of the match, as per his comments to Stadium Astro.
Storming to success
Liverpool ran out 5-0 winners at Old Trafford yesterday in what was an embarrassing defeat for Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s side.
It did not take long for Liverpool to hit the back of the net in Manchester, with Jurgen Klopp’s side slicing apart the United defence time after time.
United tried to press high from the start, but were not close enough to Liverpool’s forward players and they were immediately cut apart.
Naby Keita ultimately hit the first goal for Liverpool, but it could have been one of three players that Mohamed Salah set through on goal, with the Red Devils back-line nowhere to be seen.
And Shaw said: “We are too easy to play through against.
“You look at the first goal. It can’t be possible when they have three running through in the first five minutes.
“We need to be more compact and we need to be better, we know that.
“We can say this result was coming. In past games where we’ve won we haven’t been at our best.”
Unbeaten streak continues

The pressure is now firmly on Solksjaer’s men after such a heavy and damaging defeat.
Liverpool, meanwhile, have cemented their place as genuine title contenders this term.
Klopp’s side now sit in second place in the Premier League table, and they are just one point behind Chelsea.
The Reds are the only unbeaten side in England’s top flight, with their next match coming against Brighton & Hove Albion at Anfield on Saturday.
