West Ham United fans have been left envious after news that Leicester City are set to sign Patson Daka.
Fabrizio Romano says that Leicester are closing in on Daka, as they chase a new striker.
With West Ham also on the market to sign a new number nine, some of their fans were wishing that they made a move to land the £30 million Red Bull Salzburg forward (Leicester Mercury).
And Hammers supporters feel that Leicester could have landed a gem in Daka.
West Ham to look elsewhere
Leicester have worked the transfer market brilliantly in recent years, and have snapped up some huge talent for relatively cheap fees.
If Daka does fulfil his potential then West Ham may not be the only side questioning why they didn’t move for the rapid front man.
Daka netted 34 goals across all competitions last term, and the 22-year-old is now considered to be one of the brightest young strikers in European football.
The youngster will be taking a big step up by joining Leicester though, and may take some time to bed in.
West Ham, meanwhile, are set to continue to look for a new front man, as David Moyes seeks to add competition for places up-front.
