West Ham United put in a fantastic display against Burnley on Saturday.

West Ham defender Issa Diop spoke to reporters after his side’s 4-2 win over Burnley on Saturday, and shared what disappointed him about his team’s performance, as quoted by the club’s official website.

The Hammers totally dominated the game against Sean Dyche’s Clarets side, but a couple of lapses in concentration put paid to their hopes of achieving a clean sheet.

Manuel Pellegrini’s side look like a totally different team from the start of the season, however, and there seems to be genuine cause for optimism amongst the club’s fans after some impressive results recently.

Diop spoke to reporter’s after Saturday’s win over Burnley, and insisted that he was not entirely happy with West Ham’s performance, as quoted by the club’s official website:

West Ham United unveil new signing Issa Diop at Rush Green on June 19, 2018 in Romford, England.

“We are very happy to win this game. It was a tough game but we scored four goals and did some good things, but we need to improve defensively to avoid the two we conceded. I feel like I need to improve – we conceded two goals and that’s too much. I hope we keep a clean sheet in the next game. I learn in every game and I hope I can learn quickly because it is a hard league.”

Next up for West Ham is a trip to the John Smith’s Stadium to take on Huddersfield Town on Saturday, and if they play like they did against Burnley, they should have no problem taking maximum points from the contest.
