West Ham ace Issa Diop spoke to reporters after his side’s 4-2 win over Burnley, and took time to praise his teammate Marko Arnautovic, suggesting that the Austrian is a ‘big player’ for the club, as quoted by the club’s official website.

The Hammers have begun to find some form over the past month, and now sit in 13th position in the Premier League table, having taken 11 points from their opening 11 league outings.

Everything good that West Ham have done recently has gone through Arnautovic, and the 29-year-old is really becoming somewhat of a cult hero at the London Stadium, after joining from Stoke City in the summer of 2017 for around £24 million.

Diop, who joined the Hammers in the summer, raved about the Austria international, when speaking to reporters, highlighting how important he is to the team, as quoted by the club’s official website:

“Everyone knows how important Marko is. He is a big player, a very good striker and he scores a lot of goals, so we need him.”

Next up for West Ham is a trip to Huddersfield Town on Saturday, and Diop and co will be confident of chalking up another three points before the two week international break.
