West Ham United defender Issa Diop reportedly turned down Tottenham Hotspur to move to the London Stadium last summer.

West Ham were the first away side to win in Tottenham’s new stadium, when they made the short trip to their London rival’s home in April.
West Ham beat Mauricio Pochettino’s men 1-0 on that occasion, with Michail Antonio scoring the only goal of the game.
And Diop admits that beating Tottenham was his own personal highlight of the campaign.
“If I had to pick on highlight from my first year, it would be Tottenham away. That was a great game, and for me it was the best because we were the first team to score and to win in their new stadium, against a big rival too,” the centre-back said.
Diop was impressive for West Ham against Tottenham, with one driving run forward particularly memorable.

That performance from the Frenchman is likely to be one of the reasons why Manchester United are now chasing him.
West Ham are said to want £75 million for Diop by the Daily Telegraph, with Manuel Pellegrini rating him very highly.
That valuation and Diop’s comments may sting more for Tottenham fans, as it has been claimed in the Daily Mirror the he turned them down before signing for West Ham last summer.
