Some Liverpool fans on Twitter have hit back at West Ham United manager David Moyes for his comments regarding Mohamed Salah.

Moyes was not happy with Salah for the penalty incident during Liverpool’s 2-1 win against the Hammers at Anfield in the Premier League on Saturday evening.

The Egypt international forward earned a penalty in the final stages of the first half when he went down under a challenge from West Ham left-back Arthur Masuaku inside the visiting team’s penalty box.

It was a controversial decision to award the former Chelsea attacking player the spot kick, which he himself converted.

The London club were leading 1-0 before the penalty, and the Hammers went on to lose the match 2-1.

West Ham manager Moyes was not impressed with Salah and has strongly criticised him.

Goal.com quotes the Scotsman as saying: “It’s not the sort of football I want to be involved in. I think our player stops and throws his arms up because he’s so disappointed about the dive.”

Some Liverpool fans have hit back at Moyes, reminding the West Ham boss of what he said about Luis Suarez, as shown below in posts on Twitter.

Back in October 2012, when Moyes was in charge of Everton and Suarez was at Liverpool, the Scotsman accused the striker of diving.

The Guardian quoted the former Manchester United manager as saying about Suarez on October 26, 2012: “People talk about the sendings-off in these derbies [20 of them] without talking about the decisions. Last year’s one was a dive and a really poor decision by the referee. It ruined the game.”

Moyes added: “I do because I think he [Suarez] has got history. But I’m not the referee. What it will do is turn the supporters away from football because they [players who dive] are very good at it.
