Jamie Redknapp has claimed that Daniel Levy would have been ‘voted out’ of Tottenham if he was at another club, as he told Sky Sports PL (17/10/21 at 7:30 pm).

The TV pundit also claimed that Tottenham’s new Sporting Director, Fabio Paratici, hasn’t got as much control at the club as he thinks and Redknapp believes that ‘isn’t healthy’.

Five years ago, Levy would have been lauded for how he was running Tottenham’s ship, from helping them get into the Champions League and challenging for the Premier League title with a vibrant squad, forward-thinking style and highly-rated manager.

But fast forward to today, and all of that is now a long-distance memory and Levy is public enemy number one in the eyes of the Spurs fans.

From how the 59-year-old handled the club’s situation after the Champions League final, the hiring and manner of firing of Jose Mourinho, putting Ryan Mason in interim charge and then how they went about bringing Nuno Espirito Santo to the club.

Redkanpp let rip at Levy and the path he is taking Spurs down, as he also feels that his time is up in North London.

“Did you say they are doing a re-build?” said Redknapp. “How many re-builds has Daniel had? I have lost count of re-builds.

“Brilliant, great stadium and great training ground. They haven’t won a trophy under his tenure (League Cup*). That’s not good enough. Anybody else, any other chairman would have been voted out or left.

“There have been successes, the training ground and the stadium. I get it. But, in terms of recruitment and getting things right on the pitch, he’s not done well enough.

“They have got a director of football in now, and this is going to be interesting now, knowing how Daniel works, he listens to the last person he spoke to. I am not too sure this director of football will have the ability or have the opportunity to bring as many players as he would have liked. I still think Daniel will decide the players that come in, which isn’t always healthy.”

There’s no doubt that Spurs fans no longer want Levy fronting their ship and they feel his time has run out.

There’s no chance of the Englishman walking away from his role, other than if Joe Lewis sells up the club.

Like Newcastle United, it will be interesting to see how the club react if someone came in with a mega offer.

But it doesn’t seem as though Lewis, ENIC, or Levy are going anywhere yet, which is frustrating the fanbase because they want change.
