Don Hutchison has claimed that Tottenham trio, Oliver Skipp, Harry Winks and Pierre Emile-Hojbjerg aren’t going to provide the creativity that Harry Kane needs.
The former midfielder told BBC Radio 5 Live Sport that the service from the above players ‘isn’t going to be amazing’ to the Tottenham striker.
Over the weekend, it was Hojbjerg, alongside Dele Alli and Tanguy Ndombele, who played in the middle of the park for Spurs, with Skipp coming off the bench.
But during the early stages of the season, both Skipp and Hojbjerg have been the holders for Spurs, with Ndombele starting his first games of the season last week – both in Europe and the league.
Since Christian Eriksen’s departure, the North London club have needed that one-touch footballer, who can progress the ball and pick up those pockets.
And given what they have now, added with Nuno Espirito Santo’s style, Hutchison doesn’t think it bodes well for the man constantly dropping deep in Kane.
“Nuno’s quite a pragmatic manager,” said Hutchison. “So, you have a defensive-minded coach in Nuno.
“He’s got three players like Oliver Skipp, Harry Winks and Hojbjerg playing behind him, so the service isn’t going to be amazing.
“You need creativity, if you are Harry Kane then you need creativity. If you aren’t getting any creativity then the tendency is to come deep and get on the ball because you don’t want to be starved.”

The problem lies with Kane constantly dropping deep, something he did under Jose Mourinho.
But the big difference last season was that he was supplying assists for fun and finding the back of the net.
During this campaign, the England striker is struggling to get touches in the opposition box and shots on target.
Dropping deep is all well and good, as long as Kane is still put himself in dangerous situations in the penalty area and scoring goals.
But when he isn’t doing the latter then he might as well sit next to Hojbjerg in the middle of the park.
