Speaking on his YouTube channel, Alasdair Gold has shared some insight into Tottenham Hotspur and the planned meeting between Daniel Levy and Antonio Conte.
Antonio Conte has been banging this drum for quite some time now, stating that he needs to meet with the club this summer in order to decide on his future as links to PSG continue to persist.
However, in the wake of Spurs receiving a £150m capital injection this week, Levy is convinced that Conte is now happy with the club’s plans, so much so that he’s no longer planning on even meeting with the manager in the coming days.
What’s been said?
Gold shared what he knows about this meeting and Levy’s stance.
“From what I understand, Spurs, especially with the new cash injection, from what I understand, Spurs are confident enough now that Antonio Conte is happy with what’s being proposed for next season already that Daniel Levy isn’t even going to go to the meeting,” Gold said.
“The meeting will take place in Italy, Fabio Paratici will go over and have the meeting with him and the meeting will be centred around targets, who Conte wants, who they will go for, and it’s more of an exciting forward-thinking meeting rather than a will-he-won’t-he meeting that it could have been of trying to convince Conte to stay, which is great news.”

Not needed
Levy won’t be attending this meeting, and to be honest, he’s not needed there.
If Conte has decided that he’s staying, then the only person he now needs to speak to is Fabio Paratici about who he wants signed and sold this summer.
Once upon a time, Levy would have been privy to that conversation, but after handing the transfer reins over to Paratici last summer, it seems as though he’s taken a real step back.
Conte looks like he’s going to be backed in the transfer market and Tottenham fans should be very excited about that.
