Some West Ham United fans on Twitter think that Declan Rice proved last night that he is a better player than Leeds United star Kalvin Phillips.
Rice is a key figure at West Ham and is one of the best young central midfielders in the Premier League.
This is the first season for Phillips in the Premier League, and the England international has earned rave reviews for his performances in midfield for Leeds.
Both the players are England internationals, and the likelihood is that they will be part of manager Gareth Southgate’s squad for the European Championship in the summer of 2021.
Rice was up against Phillips in the Premier League on Monday evening, as West Ham took on Leeds at London Stadium.
The Hammers won the game 2-0, although Marcelo Bielsa’s side had chances and could have picked up all three points from the encounter.

According to WhoScored, Rice took three shots but none of them was on target, had a pass accuracy of 92%, won one header, took 42 touches, attempted one dribble, and made three tackles, two interceptions and four clearances.
According to WhoScored, Phillips took one shot which was not on target, played one key pass, had a pass accuracy of 90%, took 69 touches, attempted one dribble, made two tackles and two interceptions, and put in three crosses.
Some West Ham fans think that Rice showed that he is much better than Phillips, as shown below.
