Francis Ngannou had a chance encounter with IShowSpeed at the AFCON final and gave the streamer a quick reminder of what it is really like to be in combat sports.
The former UFC heavyweight champion, now competing in the PFL, met up with Speed before the match for a chat that was caught on camera. The streamer has shown interest in celebrity boxing before, and they even talked about possibly training together.
Ngannou then threw a light body shot that quickly sent Speed to the ground. It was a viral moment that highlighted just how much power the Cameroonian still has as he prepares for his return to action in 2025.
IShowSpeed meets Francis Ngannou pitchside before AFCON final

Ngannou and IShowSpeed met at pitchside ahead of the African Cup of Nations final between Morocco and Senegal. The pair talked about Speed’s plans to learn boxing, a sport that ‘The Predator’ had already competed in at a top level.
The Cameroonian star initially thought that the streamer was looking to get into the ring, but it turned out he just wanted some advice from someone who had gone the distance with Tyson Fury in his debut bout.
“I want to learn how to fight,” Speed said, before clarifying: “I already know how to fight but I want to, you know…”
After being asked if he was serious by the former UFC champion and warned about the physical toll it takes, Speed insisted he understood what was involved.
That was when Ngannou threw a light punch to his midsection, which took him down instantly. Laughing off the moment, the Cameroonian star said: “That’s a little bit of what it looks like.”

After getting close to Ngannou, the influencer insisted: “One day, you’re going to teach me how to fight, and I will get my revenge.”
The two shared a laugh, and Speed returned to his stream, continuing to cause a stir at the match.
