Tottenham Hotspur have been given fresh hope over Isco, who they reportedly nearly signed in 2016.

The Mirror has reported there is a ‘growing belief’ that one-time Tottenham Hotspur target Isco could be available in the near future.
The 26-year-old hasn’t started a game for Real Madrid since the 5-1 demolition by Barcelona over a month ago.
As a result, Isco’s representatives are already enquiring to see if their client would be welcome in the Premier League, with Tottenham previously linked.
In fact, Spurs came ‘within a whisker’ of signing the Spain international – who has now a £700 million release clause at the Bernabeu – two years ago, The Mirror says.
The report adds that the Premier League is the most likely destination for Isco, if he does leave the Spanish capital.
How Tottenham fans would love him in North London, but his sky-high release clause, coupled with the fact that Chelsea and Manchester City have previously been linked, indicate that a move to Mauricio Pochettino’s side may not be the most logical of switches.
Pochettino is a world-renowned coach at this stage and Isco might be up for working under the Argentine, but the finances could and probably would be a massive obstacle for the Lilywhites to overcome.
