Isaac Hayden’s Newcastle plan may interest Aston Villa and West Bromwich Albion

Aston Villa and West Bromwich Albion reportedly wanted to sign Isaac Hayden from Newcastle United in the January transfer window.

Newcastle United defensive midfielder Isaac Hayden has suggested to the club’s official website that he wants to leave in the summer transfer window, and his comments will be of interest to Aston Villa and West Bromwich Albion.

Back in January 2019, The Daily Mail reported of interest in Hayden from Championship duo Villa and West Brom.

Last month, the 24-year-old former Arsenal prospect suggested to The Times that he wanted to leave Newcastle in the summer of 2018 due to family issues.

The former England Under-21 international – who earns £22,000 per week as salary, according to Spotrac.com – has suggested that he will leave Newcastle in the summer of 2019.

Hayden told Newcastle’s official website about his future: “I think I’ve made it very clear to the club’s hierarchy, and the fans. I’ve got my side of the story out – I’ve made it pretty clear how things go.

“I don’t think there’ll be too many questions. I don’t think the summer’s going to be an issue. It’s pretty well-documented how I feel.”

Good news for Aston Villa and West Bromwich Albion?

Both Villa and West Brom are aiming to win promotion to the Premier League from the Championship playoffs at the end of the season.

The Villas and the Baggies will need reinforcements in the summer irrespective of which division they are in, and they could well decide to return to Hayden.

Hayden is still only 24 years of age, and his experience of playing in the Championship and in the Premier League does make him a very attractive prospect.
