Newcastle United came away from their Premier League clash with Southampton with a 2-2 draw.

Isaac Hayden and Ayoze Pere taken to Twitter to comment on Newcastle’s result with Southampton at St Mary’s on Sunday, and to send the travelling Magpies supporters a message.
Rafa Benitez’s men had only lost once since August going into the clash with a Saints side that had continued to struggle to find the back of the net this season.

And it was the away team who bagged the opener, with Hayden himself scoring with a wonderful, drilled effort from the edge of the box after Christian Atsu’s attempt had been blocked by a Southampton defender.
But parity was restored shortly after the break as Manolo Gabbiadini bagged a wonderful solo effort. But, once again, the scoreline did not stay that way for long as Perez squeezed a second attempt past Fraser Forster from a tight angle seemingly before the Saints fans had been given a chance to stop celebrating the equaliser.

The Saints would grab a share of the points however, as Gabbiadini scored a late penalty after Florian Lejeune brought Shane Long down inside the box.
An enthralling end to the game saw both sides look as if they may be capable of bagging a late winner, but ultimately the contest ended in a draw.
