Newcastle United youngster Isaac Hayden has taken to social networking site Twitter to give his reaction to his side’s win against Wigan Athletic at the weekend.

The Magpies returned to winning ways in the Championship on Saturday afternoon with a 2-1 victory over Wigan at home.

Dwight Gayle put the home team in the lead in the 36th minute, but Michael Jacobs restored parity for the Latics just five minutes into the second half.

Matt Ritchie found the net for Newcastle on 57 minutes, as Rafael Benitez’s side won 2-1.

Hayden, who is 22 years of age and can operate as a centre-back or as a defensive midfielder, has taken to Twitter to revel in the win.

The win against Wigan means that Newcastle are at the top of the Championship table at the moment with 81 points from 39 matches, just a point above second-placed Brighton and Hove Albion.

Benitez’s side will return to action on Wednesday evening when they take on Burton Albion at St. James’ Park in the Championship.
