Does Kundai Benyu have a future at Celtic?

There was much fanfare when Celtic beat competition from Englisn Premier League clubs to the signature of Kundai Benyu.
Brendan Rodgers convinced him to join from Ipswich Town, but he failed to crack Celtic’s first team.
Benyu was sent on loan to Oldham Athletic in the second half of the season, and it got worse, as he struggled for game time there too.

In theory, Benyu could have an opportunity at Celtic with Patrick Roberts not returning from his loan.
Whether he is capable of taking that chance is another matter.

The Scottish Sun recently reported that Brendan Rodgers is ready to cut his losses on Eboue Kouassi after 18 months.
This would suggest Benyu may only have six months to turn his prospects around before Rodgers makes his mind up.
Benyu is on the precipice, having struggled in his first year.
If he cannot kick on this pre-season, or in the first part of next season, then tough decisions could be made over his future.
