Mark Warburton is being hotly tipped with the manager role at Forest.

Rangers have appointed Pedro Caixinha as their new manager following the recent departure of Mark Warburton.

The Englishman is now seemingly set to take over at Nottingham Forest, who sacked Philippe Montanier earlier in the season. His long-term sporting director work colleague Frank McParland is already at the club and Forest seem set to appoint the ex-Brentford man.

Warburton of course has a habit for signing former players, as he did often whilst at Rangers.

But if Forest were to sign any players from Warburton’s time at Ibrox, surely there is only one they would realistically want.

Wes Foderingham has shown himself to be a top goalkeeper at times this season.

He has his moments, as do most goalkeepers, but he certainly has fewer than Vladimir Stojkovic. The Serbian did not impress at the City Ground this season and Stephen Henderson was not fantastic before his injury. Jordan Smith is doing a good job at the moment but the 26-year-old former Swindon Town goalie would be a more than welcome addition if Warburton was to bring him in from Glasgow.

That’s if the Forest job goes his way after all.
