Danny Rose is nearing a return, but do Tottenham need him?

Danny Rose is hoping to make his Tottenham comeback this month after missing nearly all of 2017 with a knee injury.
But when he returns everything is not as it was when he began his spell on the sidelines.
Ben Davies’ form has been terrific, and Tottenham have already identified a potential star of the future who they would like to sign.
Fulham’s Ryan Sessegnon has been linked by numerous sources including The Times, and this week by ESPN.

It is claimed Fulham want a ludicrous £50 million for his signature, but money is no object to Spurs if they cash in on Danny Rose.
Rose has numerous suitors and the time may be right for Tottenham to cash in, and allow the defender to go and chase the big wages he craves.
Head coach Mauricio Pochettino has proved ruthless at times with his squad, just ask Vincent Janssen or Benjamin Stambouli.

Spurs can sell Rose and sign a replacement likely with change left over, while maintaining Ben Davies as deserved first team starter.
Whether Rose likes it or not, he may be fighting for his future at the club upon his return.
The question is whether he wants to fight, or is content to walk out of the door.
