Tottenham will hope the Carabao Cup can present them with an opportunity to win silverware.

Tottenham face Watford on Wednesday night in the third round of the EFL cup and it looks like a gigantic fixture for defender Ben Davies.
The 25-year-old appeared to be in pole position for the left-back spot going into the new season, as he was an extremely consistent performer last year and moved ahead of Danny Rose in the pecking order.
But the Wales international has had a difficult beginning to the new campaign and was even omitted from the 18-man squad against Brighton at the weekend in the Premier League.
Manager Mauricio Pochettinio is preparing his side for a cup tie with Watford and it will be interesting to see if he rotates a few players.
Davies is someone that could come into the side and he’s got to make a positive impact if he is selected.
He’s been caught out defensively a couple of times already this season, while he doesn’t possess the same attacking intent as teammate Rose.

Davies, who earns £60,000-a-week, according to Spotrac.com, is in danger of becoming a fringe player if his performances don’t improve.
Fortunately for him the North London club do have a busy fixture list ahead and he should have time to get back into Pochettino’s good books, starting with a big game against Watford.
