The young left-back looks to have no future at Leeds United.
What a difference a year makes for Leeds United’s Tom Pearce.
The Thorp Arch graduate was considered one of the academy’s brightest prospects after the 2017-18 campaign, resulting in speculation about Everton wanting him at Goodison Park [The Sun].
Fast forward 12 months and the 21-year-old defender appears to have no future at Leeds any longer.
Pearce, a left-back, has been anonymous since returning from a half-season loan at Scunthorpe United this summer and Whites boss Marcelo Bielsa doesn’t seem like he rates him.
Not only that, but the youngster simply has no chance of playing under Bielsa this season.
The Argentine coach has Barry Douglas, Leif Davis and Ezgjan Alioski as left-back options. Hell, even Stuart Dallas might be ahead of young Pearce in the pecking order for that position, based on how well he did toward the end of last season.
He only turned 21 in April, so there is plenty of time for the youngster to turn things around but, as things stand, he looks to be finished in West Yorkshire.
