Liverpool fans on Twitter are getting concerned about Thiago Alcantara.
The summer signing from Bayern Munich wasn’t at the Reds’ new AXA Training Centre on Tuesday ahead of the Premier League return this weekend.
Liverpool resume the defence of their title with a tricky visit of top-of-the-table Leicester City at Anfield.
But as things stand, it doesn’t look like the Spain international will be ready to return.
Thiago has been injured since that Richarlison tackle in the 2-2 draw with Everton back on October 17.
Signing him was perhaps the transfer saga of the summer but so far, the 29-year-old has managed only 134 minutes for Liverpool across all competitions.
And some fans of the Merseyside club are growing perplexed and concerned about his absence from training this week.
When fit, Thiago could be a massive player for Liverpool.
He has already shown flashes of what he can do, but Jurgen Klopp desperately needs to keep him fit.
When Fabinho returns, he’ll be playing in central defence due to Virgil van Dijk and Joe Gomez being out, so Klopp needs added strength in midfield and it’s key that Thiago returns sooner rather than later.
If Leicester win this weekend, Brendan Rodgers’s side will be four points ahead of the champions.
