With the 2014/15 Premier League campaign approaching the closing stages, is this Tottenham Hotspur’s Team of the Season?

Goalkeeper: Hugo Lloris

The Tottenham Hotspur stopper has been in fine form throughout the campaign, with his displays single-handedly adding points to Spurs’ total. One of the finest goalkeepers in the world.

Right-back: Kyle Walker

Walker may not have been great for Spurs since returning from injury, but he is an upgrade on Eric Dier and Vlad Chiriches, who both played there for stages when the England international was on the treatment table.

Centre-back: Jan Vertonghen

The Belgian international is Tottenham’s rock and there have been signs that Vertonghen is close to getting back to his best this campaign. Still some inconsistencies to iron out.

Centre-back: Eric Dier

A close call between Dier and Federico Fazio, but the youngster has just about edged it. He looks a very exciting prospect for his age.

Left-back: Danny Rose

Went into the season regarded as a weak-spot in the Tottenham team, but he has proved his critics wrong. There may still be some deficiencies in Rose’s game, but he has been in good form this campaign.

Defensive-midfield: Ryan Mason

A brilliant breakthrough season from the 23-year-old. His energy has been pivotal for Tottenham.

Defensive-midfield: Nabil Bentaleb

The Algerian has become Tottenham’s unsung hero, as his displays will never steal the headlines. Bentaleb gets on with his work with a quiet efficiency and he has been hugely impressive this year.

Right-wing: Andros Townsend

Perhaps fortunate to be included, but Townsend has shown slightly more consistency than Erik Lamela this term. A new winger is likely to be one of Mauricio Pochettino’s main priorities this summer.

Attacking-midfield: Christian Eriksen

A fine source of goals and assists, Eriksen is arguably Tottenham’s most talented outfield player.

Left-wing: Nacer Chadli

He has improved considerably this campaign and his goalscoring total is impressive. Still areas he needs to work on, but his development is encouraging.

Striker: Harry Kane

What a season it has been for Harry Kane. The Spurs academy-graduate has gone from promising youngster to superstar in under 12 months and he looks to be the regular goalscorer that the Lilywhites have been missing for so long.
