Everton kick off a new Premier League season against Stoke City this weekend with high hopes and big expectations.
Everton went on a transfer frenzy at the start of the window it left many clubs, West Ham United included, in the shade.
The Toffees had stolen the show so far in this summer’s transfer window recruiting a plethora of talent including Wayne Rooney, Michael Keane, Henry Onyekuru, Davy Klassen, Jordan Pickford, Sandro Ramirez and Josh Bowler.
Since Romelu Lukaku’s record-breaking move to Manchester United, Ronald Koeman has been linked with moves for target men like Olivier Giroud and Soloman Rondon and reports suggest their business is far from done.
In fact Koeman was widely regarded to have “won” the transfer window.
More new faces could be set to arrive at Goodison Park before the transfer deadline with the likes of Gylfi Sigurdsson heavily linked while others may well depart.
New signing Onyekuru was immediately loaned to Anderlecht while Ross Barkley looks set to follow Lukaku out of the exit door with the likes of Tottenham Hotspur linked.
Koeman’s business does leave him with something of a dilemma when it comes to choosing his strongest starting XI.
