Manchester City have an incredible eleven players with their potentially strongest side.
Manchester City stand a great chance of defending their Premier League title this season.
Manuel Pellegrini has a world class set of players at his disposal and the experience to ensure City bounce back from various blips throughout the campaign, with the first having already emerged after the defeat to Stoke.
City are contenders on all fronts this season and have a very strong ideal eleven, which we’ve attempted to name.
GK – Joe Hart
The obvious number one at the club and the best English goalkeeper for some years.
RB – Pablo Zabaleta
Pace and experience are the two things the Argentine injects into this team.
CB – Vincent Kompany
The Belgian is arguably the best skipper in the Premier League. He’s always looking to lead from the front.
CB – Martin Demichelis
It’s difficult to suggest Mangala should feature in this back four because he hasn’t played a game yet. Demichelis seems to have improved from last season.
LB – Gael Clichy
Solid defensively and potentially devastating when he gets forward and attacks the opposition’s right-back.
RM – Samir Nasri
Nasri is great at controlling games off of the right hand side. He’s well suited to running the line and has the characteristics to move in centrally.
CM – Yaya Toure
The best box-to-box midfielder in the Premier League.
CM – Fernando
Seems to have adapted well to life in English football. Works hard and will continue to get better over the course of the season.
LM – David Silva
City’s best player in possession and the individual who can win any game for the club with a single pass.
ST – Sergio Aguero
Scores goals for fun when he’s fit and playing regularly.
ST – Edin Dzeko
A very good all round footballer, but someone who offers City a bit of extra height and a different dimension up front.
