Leeds United have a very exciting potential strongest XI for any new manager coming in.
Leeds United have endured a difficult start to the new Championship season, sitting just above the bottom three in 18th place.
Leeds are one of the biggest teams outside of the Premier League and despite the difficult start, they have a large squad and a good chance of competing for promotion this season.
As the club searches for a new manager, we’ve attempted to name Leeds’ best current starting eleven.
GK – Marco Silvestri
An intelligent, competent goalkeeper always looking for ways to make the defence’s job easier.
RB – Gaetano Berardi
The 26-year-old is a very solid option going forward over on the right hand side. He’ll improve defensively as he plays more.
CB – Giuseppe Bellusci
Arrived in the middle of August from Catania. He should be a solid centre-back once he gets used to the pace of English football.
CB – Jason Pearce
Provides that leadership in the back four as captain of the team.
LB – Stephen Warnock
Provides balance and experience. He’s a solid player at both ends of the pitch.
RM – Brian Montenegro
Another new arrival and yet to make his first team debut. While he could start out wide, expect him to drift into central positions.
CM – Lewis Cook
One of the best talents in English football. Doesn’t seem to be bothered by the pressure despite only being 17-years-old.
CM – Casper Sloth
The Dane is another new arrival at the club and he has a tremendous amount of experience considering his age. He can run games in the middle.
CM – Adryan
An exciting attacking talent who joined on loan from Flamengo. He could be devastating in the number ten role.
LM – Soulemayne Doukara
He’s already opened his account for the season and he’s a handful for any defender whether he’s out wide or through the middle.
ST – Billy Sharp
A striker with a point to prove after a couple of big career moves have led him to this point. He’s a great fox in the box type player.
