Chelsea have an incredible strongest XI with everyone fit and available.
Chelsea have assembled a squad over the summer, which is capable of success on multiple fronts.
Jose Mourinho deserves massive credit for getting transfer business done early which allowed the new blend of players to gel before the start of the season, which has allowed them to hit the ground running.
We’ve attempted to name Chelsea’s strongest side based on their summer activity.
GK – Thibaut Courtois
The Belgian has been installed as the club’s number one and he looks like he’s relishing the challenge.
RB – Branislav Ivanovic
Ivanovic has been consistent at right-back since he was first asked to play there last season.
CB – Gary Cahill
Cahill looks well suited to the current backline and comfortable with the other defensive players around him.
CB – John Terry
Terry provides that experience as captain and he does the basics of defending well.
LB – Cesar Azpilicueta
Azpilicueta has just been rewarded with a new contract as he maintains consistency over on the left.
RM – Andre Schurrle
Schurrle seems to have grown much stronger from the German who graced Chelsea’s midfield last season.
DM – Nemanja Matic
An imposing figure for any team to have in front of their back four.
CM – Cesc Fabregas
He’s looked at home in the middle of Chelsea’s team and will be key to any success this season.
AM – Oscar
Oscar is arguably the best all round number ten in the Premier League. He’s a useful player to have in behind the main striker.
LM – Eden Hazard
The Belgian was Chelsea’s biggest attacking threat last season and a world class player to have on the left hand side.
ST – Diego Costa
Four goals in his first three Premier League games says it all.
