
Some Tottenham fans on social media are a little bit baffled after hearing they’re now completely convinced by Joachim Andersen after following him for three years.
The Dane has been named as one of Tottenham’s centre-half targets this summer, but it seems as though they’ve been keeping an eye on him for quite a long time.
It’s interesting to hear that Spurs have been tracking him since 2018, but that has seemingly rubbed some Tottenham fans up the wrong way, and to be fair, we can understand why.
If Spurs have been tracking Andersen for three years, then it suggests that their transfer strategy is a bit all over the place.
They’ve seen him play for three different clubs and they’ve scouted him under two different managers, and it’s only now after a season in the Premier League that they’ve been convinced by him, despite the fact he’s played for much better sides than Fulham in the shape of Sampdoria and Lyon in recent years.
Tottenham fans are a bit baffled by the fact it’s taken the scouting team three years to come to a conclusion, and while it’s good to see Spurs doing their due diligence, that does seem to be an unnecessarily lengthy process.
