Tottenham Hotspur reportedly want to bring Patrick Cutrone to the Premier League from Serie A powerhouses AC Milan.
Patrick Cutrone hasn’t been helped by Krzystof Piatek’s outstanding start to life at AC Milan.
The Italian striker was one of the first names on Gennaro Gattuso’s team-sheet in the first half of the season but has found his chances severely limited since the arrival of prolific Pole Piatek from Genoa in the January transfer window.
Cutrone has made six appearances in Milan’s seven Serie A games since Piatek’s arrival. But all of those have come from the bench.
As a result, Tuttomercatoweb reports that the Como-born 21-year-old has grown increasingly irritated by his lack of game time for the Rossoneri. Tottenham Hotspur are apparently ready to offer him a fresh start with Milan willing to consider offers of around £30 million.
But if Cutrone is frustrated by life in Milan, why on earth would he go to Tottenham? Spurs are one of the rising clubs of European football and Mauricio Pochettino is a coach who frequently sets young players on the path to greatness.
Cutrone should be aware, however, that a move to North London would see him spend even more time stuck on the bench. Why? Because of a rather talented number 10 by the name of Harry Kane.
