The winger has had to be patient for opportunities since joining Tottenham.

Georges-Kevin N’Koudou is in his second season as a Tottenham Hotspur player but it’s safe to say that his career at the club hasn’t yet taken off.

Since joining from Marseille the winger has been unable to establish himself as an important part of Mauricio Pochettino’s plans and has been restricted to just 21 appearances across all competitions, during which he has failed to score and has provided just one assist.

N’Koudou made a major impact in his final season at Marseille as he scored ten goals, suggesting that he is a talented player who needs to be given more opportunities to impress.

However, with Tottenham having a strong squad and also given Pochettino’s preference for playing a system without wingers, it is difficult to envisage N’Koudou getting much of a look in in the near future.

N’Koudou is just 22 and is clearly not the finished article yet but he needs to be playing regularly and therefore a spell away from Tottenham on loan in the January transfer window, preferably to a Premier League club, could prove to be very beneficial indeed.

Overall, though, despite the quality he possesses, it seems a lot would have to change for N’Koudou to be able to succeed at Tottenham.
