Nottingham Forest are said to be planning to make Jack Colback’s loan move a permanent one at the end of the season.

According to the Chronicle, Nottingham Forest want to sign Jack Colback permanently at the end of his loan spell, and that just adds further credence to the rumours that Liam Bridcutt or Ben Watson could leave.
And with Colback’s long-term future reportedly set to be at the City Ground, Forest will surely have to offload midfielders to make room for his permanent addition.
Colback is on a sizeable wage at Newcastle, and for Forest to take on his contract may require some departures.
Watson’s and Bridcutt’s futures at Forest now look in real jeopardy, with their exits surely on a matter of time.

Watson did start this season in Karanka’s first-team plans, but he has dropped out of favour more recently.
Bridcutt, meanwhile, has barely featured at all, with Forest having plenty of other options in midfield.
And Karanka’s plans to sign Colback are just another sign that the writing is on the wall for Bridcutt and Watson at the City Ground.
