Celtic star Scott Sinclair has not been as good this season as he was in 2016-17.

The former Rangers and Scotland international striker, though, has claimed that Sinclair has been a shadow of the player he was last season.
Thompson wrote about Sinclair in The Herald: “Again, he is a victim of his own success, with expectations around him sky-high after what he achieved last season, but even though he has done well in spells, he has largely been a shadow of the player he was and the fall in his standards has been starker than expected.”

Is Steven Thompson right about Scott Sinclair?
Sinclair is not having a great season – that is true – but what cannot be ignored is that he was unbelievable during the 2016-17 campaign.
The 29-year-old winger was easily the best player for the Hoops last season and the best in the Scottish Premiership.

The former Chelsea and Manchester City winger has not exactly been a huge disappointment, as he has scored nine goals and provided 10 assists in 30 Scottish Premiership appearances, according to Transfermarkt.com.
Sinclair, who joined Celtic from Aston Villa in the summer of 2016 for a transfer fee reported by The Guardian to be worth £3 million, remains a key player for the Hoops and will be important for Brendan Rodgers’s side in the final weeks of the season.
