Could Sofiane Feghouli leave West Ham United in the summer transfer window?
Much was expected of Sofiane Feghouli when he joined West Ham United last summer. Signed on a free transfer following his departure from Valencia, the midfielder was expected to be a key player in Slaven Bilic’s midfield.
Feghouli, though, endured a disappointing 2016-17 campaign and was able to make only 11 starts in the Premier League, scoring three goals and providing three assists in the process.
The Algeria international midfielder has been linked with a move away from West Ham in the summer transfer window.
According to the report, the West Ham midfielder had rejected an offer of €2.8 million (£2.5m) per year as salary from Galatasaray, and that the former Valencia man wanted a €3m (£2.68m) signing-on fee.

A few days after the report came out, BeinSport quoted Ahmet Bulut – an agent acting on behalf of Galatasaray in negotiations with West Ham and Feghouli – as saying that the Istanbul club could secure a deal for the Hammers midfielder soon (click here to read more).
It is August now and Feghouli is still at West Ham, but it seems that he could still be on his way out of the London Stadium.
“Galatasaray, meanwhile, are continuing negotiations with Manchester City for Fernando and West Ham for Sofiane Feghouli,” states a report in The Daily Mail.
Negotiations over transfers take time, and perhaps Feghouli’s switch from West Ham to Galatasaray will be completed in the coming days.
