Robert Snodgrass has really struggled since moving to West Ham United, and still hasn’t scored for the London club.

It’s fair to say that Robert Snodgrass’ move to West Ham United has not gone to plan so far.

Snodgrass was expected to provide West Ham with a new attacking threat when he arrived in the January transfer window, but the Scotland international has been well short of his best form at the London Stadium.

Snodgrass has already been heavily questioned by West Ham fans, who appear to be rapidly losing faith in the 29-year-old coming good.

However, Snodgrass’ failings at West Ham are not entirely his fault.

Slaven Bilic must take some of the blame for Snodgrass’ struggles at West Ham, as he has barely played him in his preferred position.

Snodgrass’ best form at Hull came when he was deployed as a right winger. The former Leeds man is at his most dangerous when cutting inside and shifting the ball on to his left foot.

However, at West Ham, Snodgrass has played just two matches down the right – with most his appearances coming on the left hand side.

Snodgrass’ role has been to whip in crosses for Andy Carroll, but his limitations in this role are obvious.

Snodgrass is neither particularly quick or skilful, which means he can find it difficult to beat opponents on the outside.

And unless Snodgrass is given a run of matches in his favoured role, it is hard to see him turning his form for West Ham around.
