Neil Lennon’s Scottish Premiership champions Celtic are reportedly interested in Paris FC striker Silas Wamangituka.

Celtic might not be a club who tend to splash the cash with huge fees in the transfer market but the Scottish Premiership champions are sometimes willing to break the bank for the right man.
They paid a club-record £9 million to sign a teenage striker from France last summer, Odsonne Edouard arriving in Glasgow from PSG. But could Celtic repeat the trick, one year on, and invest a substantial sum on another Paris-based centre-forward?
The Scottish Sun claimed recently that Paris FC wonderkid Silas Wamangituka is on Celtic’s radar with manager Neil Lennon watching him in action during a lower league clash against Valencienne in April.
Despite being just 19 years of age, Wamangituka is already his club’s star man and netted 11 goals in 32 games in 2018/19.
But with interest, and his price-tag, rising by the week, time will tell just how highly Celtic rate the youngster – and how much they are willing to pay for him.

Le 10 Sport claims that Marseille have made a bid of around £5.5 million with bonuses, though Paris are expected to demand even more for their prized asset.
If Wamangituka’s price-tag exceeds the £6 million mark, Celtic will be required to make him their second most expensive signing ever. The question, however, is whether Neil Lennon’s side should take another punt on a young French striker or invest their money elsewhere in a squad in need of reinforcement.
