The summer signing can cause problems for Tottenham Hotspur despite his undoubted talent.

When Tottenham Hotspur signed Serge Aurier from Paris Saint-Germain in the summer for £23million (BBC), it seemed to be another sensible piece of business by a club looking to create sufficient squad depth to challenge on all fronts, while replacing the recently departed Kyle Walker with a talented player still years from his peak.
On early evidence, Aurier is a quality addition to an increasingly impressive Tottenham squad. However he does, at times, appear to be a liability, jumping into tackles and lacking the composure needed to ensure the big games are not turned on a moment of madness.

Tottenham manager Mauricio Pochettino knew what he was signing when he bought the Ivory Coast international, and in time he will no doubt be hoping to coach the rashness out of his game. Yet some fans are already worried by his tendency to act before he thinks, and that could cause problems at the business end of the campaign.

The Tottenham right-back has already seen red once this season and, while he has avoided a booking in his last three league games, that was more by luck than judgement.
Spurs have a cracking player in Aurier and his physicality is a big part of his game. However, if he can learn to channel it in the right way he could play a major role for Tottenham for all the right reasons both this season and for years to come.
